Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Columbus, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Ohio run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Columbus is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Columbus follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We parked outside debating whether to go in or not because the place didnβt look great from the outside. We did because of the raving reviews. Big mistake. We ordered pad thai with tofu and sweet and sour chicken. I asked if I could have steamed tofu and was told they only have fried tofu. The sweet and sour chicken was fried unlike sweet and sour chicken at other Thai restaurants. They gave us a bowl of sauce separately to pour over the chicken and bell pepper. My husband said it lacked flavor. The chicken was white meat but looked dry and over fried. My pad Thai was so salty I could not finish the dish and the tofu seamed like canned, spongy things - not freshly fried tofu. We were not asked about spice level so the food arrived mild. The place was very dark, the carpet had seem better days, and looked more like a storage than a restaurant. I would not come back, but hope this was just an off day for them somehow.

Was craving Pad Thai and heard about Bangkok Grocery & Restaurant. But once you're inside this place, you just want to order everything. We ordered: -Moo Satay or Marinated Pork Skewers. It came with 2 different sauces: One tasted like a savory peanut sauce and a vinegar cucumber. It was so refreshing with the cucumber and look at that number of skewers! -Tom Kha - coconut soup with cilantro and galangal - it tasted so healthy with all the herbs and spices. We got the chicken. Small is good for 2 people. - Panang Curry - if you like spicy, you will love this. It's curry with coconut milk. It came with rice - Pad Thai - we got the chicken and shrimp combination. This was so savory with a sour and salty taste, I wish I could eat everything now. - Thai Iced Tea - perfect thirst quencher. This is not your typical black tea, this is thai tea which is one of my favorite teas. -Mango Sticky Rice - definitely the perfect way to end all of it. I can eat 3 just because it was that good. For all the food, it was worth it. I haven't had good Thai food in a while that's why I ordered plenty. The place wasn't bad, but if you travel frequently especially in Asia, you know you're in for the be

Food is always consistently great here for what it is. Whatever I order, I generally try to get the beef jerky also as it is unique and tasty. The soups are great and reasonably priced, especially the won ton. Not much for service and atmosphere but itβs the food you come for here. Should be noted that you canβt get water here unless you buy it by the bottle.

Oh my god. All you can want in Thai food. Fresh and delicious! Also the beef jerkey is easily the best Iβve ever had, and I donβt usually care for jerky. You have to try it. I rarely go to the same place twice because there are so many restaurants out there to try, but I am 100% sure I will be going back to this place!
